PRIME's new leak pressure transducer is a replacement for the Original Model TD5 found on all Can and End Pocket Testers. The TD5P Transducer is used by canmakers to measure the leaks in newly manufactured food, beverage and aerosol cans. Other tested products are can ends, oil filters and low profile fish cans. Prime's Model TD5P will detect micro-leaks and withstand extreme over pressures. If there is a need to sense a 2 cc leaker or greater, the TD5P is guaranteed to detect it.

The strength and reliability of the Model TD5P transducer is the result of having a rugged piezoelectric disk encased in a sealed aluminum housing. The benefit is a highly reliable sensor able to maintain signal integrity over years of constant exposure to oil, dirt and over-pressure while still maintaining the ability to detect small leaks.

The piezoelectric disk produces an electrical signal proportional to a dynamic air pressure change (or pulse of air). When attached to a PS10 or MD20 the transducer's voltage output signal supplys a *relative leak value for each can or bottle tested. If the signal is significantly high, it triggers an output from the PS10 or MD20 channel. The output is ultimately used to reject the can or bottle before discharging from the testing machine.

Quick Installation: This TD5P easily replaces the original TD5. Simply unscrew the TD5 and replace it with the TD5P. Reconnect the original cable. That is all there is to it. Proceed with the standard calibration of the Preasure Amplifier as you would with the original transducer.
