The New Model SD203 and its push-to-calibrate
feature provides a simple and dependable
way to begin monitoring can ends traveling
through a conversion press. The Model
SD203 is two detectors in one for use
on each lane of a conversion press.
This Double or Nothing detector along
with two sets of probes installed at
the discharge of each lane detects a
missing tab. Each channel has three
solid-state outputs. The three outputs
energize for tab present, no tab and
a detected fault (for example inoperative
probe)
Calibrating
the detector is simple. Just push the
Calibrate push button for either channel
after inserting an end with a tab between
the transmitter and receiver probes.
The Model SD203 will automatically measure
and memorize the tab. Future ends missing
a tab cause the No Tab output to turn-on.
Calibration is that easy. All outputs
are solid state transistor type and
are configured with a jumper to sink
or source current. There are no additional
adjustments or fine tuning. Dual two-digit
LED displays indicate probe signal strength
or fault codes. Quick disconnect terminals
provide fast and easy changeover . Operating
power requirement for the Model SD203
is 24 volts @ 200 milliamperes DC. .

Two channel, two digit alphanumeric
LED display. During operation indicates
signal strength and fault location.
During calibration nominal value or
calibration fault.
- Indicator
Lamps consist of two channels
of green for present and red for over
or under nominal value. Also flash
for faults.
